Seth Fedelin’s surprising move from ‘PBB House’ to ‘Kadenang Ginto’
MANILA, Philippines — After leaving ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB), Seth Fedelin joined the cast of high-rating afternoon drama series “Kadenang Ginto.”

This move caught many of his fans by surprise. Fedelin was just as stunned, too.

In “Kadenang Ginto’s” thanksgiving press conference on Friday, Fedelin revealed he actually auditioned for a different project.
“Nag-audition ako sa ‘Abandoned’ po, nag-audition ako doon tapos bigla nalang ito na po,” Fedelin said.
“Abandoned” is an upcoming Dreamscape Digital film set to premiere soon on ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant.
The 16-year-old newbie actor recalled: “Hindi ko po agad nalaman. Ang nakaalam po is ‘yung manager ko po. Ginulat po nila ako na, ‘O, papasok ka na sa Kadenang Ginto’.”
“Tapos hindi ako makapaniwala. Tapos iniisip ko na agad na ‘Makaka-close ko kaya ‘yung tatlo?’” Fedelin added.
The drama series, which have been airing for eight months already, is headlined by teen stars Francine Diaz, Andrea Brillantes, and Kyle Echarri alongside veteran actresses Dimples Romana and Beauty Gonzalez.
Fedelin admitted he did not have any background prior to entering the PBB house which led him to feel pressure upon joining the soap’s cast.
“Ako po kasi bago po ako pumasok ng ‘PBB,’ wala po talaga akong background sa acting. As in talagang bahay, school, ganun,” he said.
“Tapos nung pumasok po ako sa ‘Kadenang Ginto,’ sobrang kabado ako kasi baka mamaya ilang takes ako. Nakakahiya doon sa ka-eksena ko. Nape-pressure po ako minsan,” he added.
Fedelin was among the first batch of teen housemates who entered the PBB house in the reality TV show’s 8th season. (Editor: Katherine G. Adraneda)
