MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray did not hold herself back from replying to a netizen who tried to lecture her on what Holy Week is about.

Gray posted Wednesday a photo of herself in a bikini and expressed regret on not getting to visit any beaches in the Philippines during her short stay.

“Where I’d rather be to escape the Philippine summer heat,” Gray wrote as caption. “I unfortunately wasn’t able to get vitamin sea on my short trip back home to the Philippines but the beach is where my mind will be!

But Gray’s post did not seem to sit well with one netizen.

A certain Instagram user @maecy commented and told the beauty queen, “Holy Week is not about vacationing.”

But the beauty queen replied: “Holy Week is a very meaningful time for Christians (like me), Catholics and other faiths.”

“But as I speak to an audience of an array of faiths and beliefs, within and outside of the Philippines, I want to be inclusive with the conversations I pose on social media,” she added. /kga
