‘Supernatural’ stars on their ‘hell of a run’
The end is nigh for the long-running horror-drama series “Supernatural.”
The final season is set to air next year, according to its main stars’ recent video announcement on Instagram.
“We just told the crew that, though we’re very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last,” said Jensen Ackles, who plays monster-hunting Dean Winchester. “We just wanted you to hear from us that, [although] we’re excited about next year, it will be the big, grand finale of an institution.”
Jared Padalecki, who plays the younger hunter-sibling Sam, added, “We’ve cried some tears and we’ll cry some more.”
“We love you guys and this family is not going anywhere, even though the show will come to an end,” said Misha Collins, who plays the angel, Castiel.
