Kris Aquino complaint junked: Nicko, Gretchen rejoice
MANILA, Philippines — Nicko Falcis and Gretchen Barretto rejoiced over the dismissal of the qualified theft complaint filed by Kris Aquino against her former project manager before the Pasig City Prosecutors’ Office.
In a resolution dated February 15, 2019, Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Aileen C. Sabare dismissed Aquino’s complaint for “insufficiency of evidence.”
“2 Dismissed. The truth may hurt for a little while, but a lie hurts forever… GRATEFUL and HUMBLED. #NoToBullying Let’s end this #Krisis Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes!” Falcis said in a recent Instagram post, reacting to the court’s decision.

This was after the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the qualified theft complaint filed by Aquino against her former project manager Falcis.
“It appears that the credit card used by respondent [Falcis] was neither stolen, lost, xpired, revoked, canceled, suspended or obtained with intent to fraud,” the resolution read.
“The credit card was voluntarily issued to respondent under his name,” it added.
This is the second ruling that did not favor Aquino as the qualified theft complaint she filed against Falcis in Makati City was also dismissed.

In November 2018, Aquino filed criminal complaints against Falcis for allegedly using funds from her company, Kris Cojuangco Aquino Productions (KCAP), for personal use.
Separate complaints for the same offenses were also filed by Aquino before the Office of the City Prosecutors in Mandaluyong, Taguig, San Juan, Manila and Quezon City.
INQUIRER.net has reached out to Aquino’s camp for comment, but has yet to respond, as of writing. /cbb
