Jason Momoa’s scrunchie catches attention in Oscars 2019 red carpet

MANILA, Philippines — “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa donned a light pink velvet suit designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld during the Oscars 2019 on Monday.

But what really caught the eyes of netizens was the scrunchie on his wrist which perfectly matched his ensemble.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Momoa thanked the people behind his outfit at the Oscars and revealed his suit was actually based on the scrunchie.

Momoa tagged Fendi’s Silvia Venturini Fendi and stylist Jeanne Yang to thank them “for taking my pink velvet scrunchie and turning it into a suit.”

The pink scrunchie was all the craze on Twitter and many netizens could not get enough of Momoa’s fun accessory.

One netizen tweeted, “Jason Momoa matching his scrunchie to his suit is all I’ve ever needed in life.”

Another netizen poked fun at Momoa wearing a scrunchie as the most relatable thing ever, saying “Jason Momoa having a scrunchie on his wrist during a formal/professional event is the most I’ve ever related to a celebrity.”

Some even declared Momoa as the Oscars 2019’s best dressed thanks to his pink scrunchie.
