Ara Mina on rumored Cristine Reyes split with hubby: ‘Not that easy to recover’
MANILA, Philippines — While Ara Mina did not confirm rumors that her sister Cristine Reyes and husband Ali Khatibi have separated, she said “it is not easy to recover” from a split.
It would be recalled that in October 2018, Reyes dropped her husband’s surname in her Instagram account handle.
From @mrschristinekhatibi, Cristine changed her account handle to @cristinereyesss on October 10. Cristine also unfollowed Khatibi in the said social media site and even removed pictures taken with him.

It was only recently that Mina spoke about the issue and somewhat confirmed speculations about the split up.
“Well, hindi naman ganun kadaling maka-recover. It will take a while. Parang ako, kailangan ko pang akyatin ang bundok bago maka-move on,” Ara said in a report by PEP.
“Nakatulong ang bundok sa pagmu-move sa akin, iiwanan ko ba ang bundok? Siyempre, continuous lang,” she added.
Mina added that her sister and Khatibi are still working as co-parents for their four-year-old daughter, Amarah.
According to Mina, her sister does not prohibit Khatibi from seeing their daughter.
Mina also said that her sister is not interested in suitors at the moment, saying “it’s her not priority.”
The last time that Reyes and Khatibi were seen together was last December during a Christmas party for Amarah. /muf
