LOOK: ‘GMA Supershow’ hosts gather for rare reunion
For a rare moment, the former hosts of the now-defunct noontime variety show “GMA Supershow” got together for a reunion.
Dawn Zulueta reunited with co-hosts Pops Fernandez, Maricel Laxa, Mariz Ricketts, Jackie Lou Blanco, Lani Mercado, Arlene Muhlack and Rachel Anne Wolfe at the Manila House Private Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. This she shared with fans through an Instagram post yesterday, Feb. 4.
“It’s been more than 30 years!” the 49-year-old stunner shared.
“This is the first of what we believe will be many more reunions with my co-hosts from our beloved Kuya Germs,” she added, referring to German Moreno who served as lead host of the long-running TV show.

Meanwhile, Laxa posted her own memento from the reunion through a Boomerang video of themselves playfully kicking up their feet.

Wolfe posted selfies with her former co-hosts, whom she refers to as her fellow “Kuya Germs Ghels,” as shown in her hashtag.

Aside from the ladies who attended the gathering, the roster of “GMA Supershow” co-hosts included numerous other notables in showbiz, such as Sharon Cuneta, Bing Loyzaga, Gretchen Barretto and Jean Garcia, among others.
“GMA Supershow,” which ran from 1978 to 1997, is considered as the longest-running Sunday noontime variety show during its time, until it was surpassed by ABS-CBN’s “ASAP”. JB
