Girlfriend of Razorback drummer tells public: Stop spreading suicide video

MANILA, Philippines — Brian Velasco’s girlfriend Portia Carlos has asked the public to stop spreading the video of the Razorback drummer’s death.

Carlos issued this statement as she said that she does not want to watch or even see the screenshot of the video related to the death of her boyfriend.

“We, the closest, have not seen it. I don’t ever want to see it. Not even a screenshot. Please think of that when you feel like sharing or spreading it. PLEASE DON’T BE A PARTY TO ME SEEING IT,” Carlos said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

She also asked the public who would visit the wake of Velasco not to mention to her the incident and appealed to the public not to tag her on social media tributes.

“People going to the wake, don’t mindlessly discuss how you felt about parts of it with me. I understand you hurt also but please process what you saw and how you felt about it with somebody else,” she said.

“Please don’t tag me in your tributes or photos with him either. I only want to see them when I’m ready to see them,” she added.

Velasco died on Wednesday due to suicide at a high-rise Manila condominium building.

The family of Velasco has asked the police not to conduct further investigation on the case. /jpv
