Jessie J takes ‘a solid break’ from all social media

Because of “unexpected heavy personal stuff” that happened to her recently, singer-songwriter Jessie J said she’s stepping away from social media for a while “to live in the moment.”

“[This] only made me want to be more present in my life… Spending more real time with the people I love and some time with myself,” the pop star wrote on Instagram.

“When sadness hits, it’s important that we embrace it, so it doesn’t define us. It has for sure surfaced some emotions and things I need to work on with all my attention and love,” Jessie said.

Walk the talk

“I have to practice what I talk about onstage and in my music,” she added.

For now, she will be turning over her social media accounts to her assistants.
“I’m taking a solid break from all social media for a while. Not forever, but a while,” she announced. “Anything posted will be work-related by my team.”

“Want to live in the moment as much as I can, and not through my phone,” Jessie said. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
