Catriona’s BF Clint Bondad defends self over provocative Christmas selfie

It may be the most wonderful time of the year, and Clint Bondad thought he could make Christmas even merrier.
The Filipino-German model, who is Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s boyfriend, wished his followers a merry Christmas in a manner they did not expect—by posting an underwear selfie as seen on his Instagram account Tuesday, Dec. 25.
“Merry Christmas Philippines! Don’t break the internet!” Bondad said. He even joked that he was “inspired” by the swimsuit competition of the pageant, which he said was “so liberating.”

While most netizens were amused with his antic, some were not so pleased with what he did. “You won’t like my comment but hey, you chose to be still in a relationship with the Miss Universe,” a netizen going by @sunshinesegovia said. “And somehow the way you are posing and posting here in IG is somehow not the kind of post we expect from the boyfriend of our Miss Universe.”

Bondad did not let it slide, telling her, “Just have a little laugh and get over it.” He defended his post, and told the netizen: “[It’s] not like Catriona is now the queen of England wearing white gloves to the elbows. She has a ton of underwear pictures floating around.”

Meanwhile, another netizen named @sunshine_desu called Bondad an “attention seeker.” Hitting back, he said, “Why comment if you aren’t?”

And trying to silence the bashers once and for all, @iamjayjay027 had this to say to0 Bondad’s critics: “Yes, he is the partner of 2018 Miss Universe but that doesn’t make him the first gentleman of the universe.” /ra
