How Mike Tan found out he’s going to be a dad

Mike Tan is so excited to be a father that he might as well share to everyone the day he found out about it.
The Kapuso actor recalled on Instagram Friday the moment his wife surprised him with a “gift.” Tan noted that his video was taken back in March.
In the video, Tan was given a green gift by his wife, which she had wrapped twice. “Syempre, papahirapan kita (Of course, I’ll make you exert effort!)! ” she joked. Moments later, the actor looked very happy as he held a home pregnancy test.
“After our wedding, we weren’t able to conceive right away,” the actor wrote. “But as we always do, we turned to God and asked Him to hear our hearts’ sincerest desires to have a child right away.”

He said he “couldn’t contain my joy” when he saw what was inside the gift. He even joked: “I should’ve known. Medyo basa ‘yong regalo eh, parang may rubbing alcohol (The gift was rather wet, as if it had rubbing alcohol.)”
The actor’s wife is currently in her 37th week of pregnancy with their first child. Tan first announced his wife was expecting back in July.
Tan and his wife—who remains unidentified—married back in January in his home province of Rizal. They had been dating for 12 years, saying she was already his crush back when he was 10 years old, after they met in a chapel. /ra
