Kanye West declares he’ll now distance self from politics: ‘I’ve been used’

Rapper Kanye West, a staunch supporter of United States President Donald Trump, stated he will be distancing himself from politics after claiming he was being “used” to spread messages he does not believe in.

West, who now prefers to be called Ye, took to Twitter today to share his newfound realization.

“My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in,” he wrote. “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!”

He also made it clear that he has nothing to do with the “Blexit” or “Black Exit” campaign which calls for African-Americans to withdraw from the Democratic Party. He clarified that he introduced pro-Trump commentator Candace Owens to the designer of the logo, and that he did not design it himself.

After denouncing his alleged affiliation with Blexit, West reiterated the things he support in separate posts.

“I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most,” West stated. “I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer.”

“I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable,” West asserted. “I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.”

He then thanked all those who had stood by his side and supported his beliefs.
