Gary V’s ‘Pure Energy’

Gary Valenciano returns to the live concert stage in “Gary V, Mr. Pure Energy in XS” tonight at 8, at Xavier Sports Complex in Greenhills, San Juan.
With Mon Faustino as musical director, the show marks the first full-length concert of the performer after his successful open heart surgery last May and after doctors cleared him of kidney cancer last June.
He will perform his greatest hits with his special guest, daughter Kiana Valenciano.
Gary is also gearing up for the grand launch of “Awit at Laro,” an advocacy album that he produced to promote Filipino games and songs. Its singers include Bamboo, Joey Ayala, Ogie Alcasid, Yeng Constantino, Darren Espanto, Julie Anne San Jose, Jona and Morissette. It will be launched in a series of mall shows starting Nov. 3 at Glorietta 5.
