WATCH: Nadine Samonte surprises husband with news of baby no. 2

As excited as she was to share the joyful news with her husband Richard Chua, Nadine Samonte decided to wait a few days before telling him she was pregnant.
The 30-year-old actress posted a video via Instagram yesterday, Sept. 29, that showed how she revealed the news — and her businessman husband’s amusing reaction.

Samonte enters their bedroom carrying a box, where Chua and their first child Heather are watching TV.
“Are you ready?” Samonte asked.
Her husband accepts the box. “Do you trust me?” she asks, to which he replies, “I trust you.”
Then he begins to panic: “May gumagalaw sa loob (There’s something moving inside)!” She instructs him to open it right away, then pulls back the box.
“Gagamba? Gagamba (Spider? Spider)!” Chua says in a raised voice.
“You have to trust me!” she insists, and hands him back the box. He appears stunned then asks, “Buntis ka (You’re pregnant)?”
The two laugh then share a kiss and a warm embrace.
Chua couldn’t contain his excitement, posting the news ahead of his wife on social media. He shared a picture of the box which contained three positive pregnancy tests and the words, “Yes!!! Baby no. 2 is on the way!”
“Still in a state of shock… totally unplanned but it’s what I’ve been wanting, thank you so much Lord!” he said.

“Kaya pala ilan araw mo [na ako] sinusungitan (So that’s why you’ve been short-tempered on me for the past days),” he joked.
In the caption of her post, Samonte shared that the couple has been hoping for another child, but didn’t expect one so soon. Nonetheless, she and Chua consider it a blessing because she has been having difficulty conceiving.
Samonte and Chua married in 2013. They welcomed daughter Heather in 2016. JB
