WATCH: Alex Gonzaga reveals contents of Liz Uy’s bag
They say one can judge a woman by the contents of her handbag. Comedian Alex Gonzaga did just that when she investigated celebrity stylist Liz Uy’s bag on her latest vlog.
Gonzaga, clad in a black sweater, started the video she shared last Sunday, Sept. 9 by praising Uy for arranging the lights as well as the props laid out on the table in front of them. Being the blunt person that she is, she showed on camera that the teacups accompanying the plates of pastries were in fact, empty.
When she joked that Uy is the new face of a clothing brand, Uy hit her on the chest. “Alam kong wala akong dede pero wag mo akong hatawin dito (I know I am not blessed in the chest department but don’t hit me here),” chastised Gonzaga.
Uy brought out her bag from Loewe, a Spanish luxury fashion house. The first item Gonzaga discovered inside was a small bottle of insect repellant. “Super habulin ako ng lamok, more than lalaki (Mosquitos chase me, more than guys),” explained Uy. Gonzaga quipped, “Baka akala nila nanay nila (Maybe they mistake you for their mother).”

Gonzaga, unamused by her reasoning retorted, “Andami mong mga teorya na parang hindi naman na-aapprove pa ng siyentipiko (You have so many theories that have yet to be scientifically proven).”

She also keeps track of her key card in a fashionable pouch. When Uy gave the brand name of the mirror she has on hand, Gonzaga remarked, “Ba’t ganyan yung mga brands mo yung parang ang hirap banggitin? (Why are the brands of your bag’s contents so hard to pronounce?)”
“Akyat bahay ka ba? (Are you a thief?)” asked Gonzaga when they discovered a set of keys that Uy said doesn’t belong to her.
Gonzaga shared she first saw Uy in an article in a tabloid newspaper titled “Jowa ni John Lloyd Cruz, sexy pala? (John Lloyd Cruz’s girlfriend is actually sexy?)” Uy and Cruz had been in a relationship for over three years before parting ways in 2009.
Uy’s white wallet only had P50 in cash as Uy prefers cashless transactions, preferring credit cards. Uy also brings with her a white pouch containing different perfumes as well as an Aesop Ginger Flight Therapy roll-on. Gonzaga also discovered an envelope containing a couple of P1,000 bills and a lavender alcohol spray.
“So anong masasabi mo sa lahat ng mga lalaking minahal mo? (So what can you say to all the guys you loved before?)” Gonzaga casually questioned the fashion stylist. Uy appeared to have been taken back by the question exclaimed, “Grabe! Akala ko ba bag raid to? (Wow! I thought this was a bag raid?)” Gonzaga later asked if the fashion stylist could add her in the WhatsApp group of the “It Girls,” which Uy is part of alongside Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, Isabelle Daza, Jess Wilson and Anne Curtis.
Of course, Alex Gonzaga’s vlog will not be complete without her ending it on a humorous note. After saying goodbye to Uy, Gonzaga stuck a piece of paper on Uy’s door bearing the words, “Load/P20/All network.” NVG
