Although her fans are celebrating her return to television on Aug. 6, via GMA 7’s primetime soap opera “Onanay,” Superstar Nora Aunor is feeling a bit forlorn.

Her older sister Tita recently passed away after a lingering illness. La Aunor told the Inquirer on Thursday: “Hindi pa po maganda ang pakiramdam ko dahil sa pagkamatay ng kapatid kong babae na si Ate Tita kahapon.”

Tita’s death was devastating because she was the Superstar’s only surviving sibling. “Kaisa-isang pamilyang natitira sa akin at binawian pa ng buhay. Ngayon talagang nag-iisa na lang po ako.”

She has yet to fully recover from the loss of her youngest brother, Eddie Villamayor, who died two years ago, when tragedy struck once again.

She related that her sister, who was based in San Diego, California, had suffered from a brain tumor. “Nalulungkot lang po ako dahil malayo siya at hindi ko man lang makikita.”

She is now waiting for updates from Tita’s son, Ryan. “Pangalawa po si Ate Tita sa panganay. Lima po kaming magkakapatid: Ernesto, Tita, Oscar, ako at ang bunso po ay si Eddie Boy. ’Yong apat po ay wala na … kaya ako na lang po ang natitira.” —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
