Bianca Gonzalez to LTFRB: ‘Consider banning billboard trucks on the road’
Television personality Bianca Gonzalez once again voiced her opinion about something wrong that affects our day-to-day life, through the platform she knows best: social media. This time, it is not to ask netizens about an issue that piques her curiosity, or to fight back at negative netizens.
Gonzalez was concerned about billboard trucks on the road. She made a public appeal to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) via Twitter yesterday, June 19, about this.
“Dear @LTFRB, kindly consider banning billboard trucks on the road,” Gonzalez said. Her reason was they add to traffic, air and noise pollution, and carbon footprint.
“Please make the companies convert these into delivery trucks with billboard ad walls para mas (to be more) functional,” she added.

Some netizens agreed with Gonzalez and even had suggestions of their own. Yellow Butterfly (@yelobutrfly) said commuters may be given free rides through these vehicles. S/he pointed out, “I think the companies whose ads are displayed in these billboard trucks will get more positive publicity.”

Meanwhile, another netizen, James Cabatu (@EsjamJuaNOli), had a daring recommendation: “Might as well ban all advertising campaigns on the road.”

“Can they also please ban the mixer trucks? [There’re] accidents waiting to happen,” netizen @unomagnifico pointed out.

The LTFRB has not responded to Gonzalez’s request, as of this writing.
Gonzalez is not the only one in their brood concerned about what’s happening on the road. Previously, even her 2-year-old daughter Lucia gave her dad, PBA cager JC Intal, an important lesson while he was driving: no selfies. JB
