NIN gears up for new tour, sets release of new EP

Nine Inch Nails has announced its new six-track EP “Bad Witch”, scheduled for release on June 22.
The group will follow the release of “Bad Witch” with a United States tour starting on Sept. 13 in Phoenix and ending on Dec. 12 in Los Angeles.
The Jesus and Mary Chain will be the support band. The group rose to wider acclaim after the 1994 release of their album “Stoned and Dethroned”.
It was also in 1994 when Nine Inch Nails’ critically lauded album “The Downward Spiral” came out, further securing the band’s place and frontman Trent Reznor’s influential role in hard and industrial rock.
In an unusual move, the group intends to sell almost all the tickets for the “Cold and Black and Infinite” tour in person at box office locations to avoid problems with resellers.

A report from Loudwire last May 11 quoting the band’s website stated that a “‘physical world presale’ will be held on May 19 in most cities, with the Denver date taking place on May 20.”
“You (an actual human being) show up at the box office, interact with the ticket seller (another actual human being) and purchase up to four tickets that will actually be handed to you on the spot,” said Reznor.
The manner of sale is said to encourage “interaction with actual human beings.” JB
