Why Mikael has fallen in love with Subic

Mikael Daez considers every trip a learning experience and an opportunity to expand his horizons. Like Tokyo and Osaka. He enjoys taking trips to Osaka and Tokyo “because of the food,” he said.

But, there are places that hold a special place in his heart, particularly Subic. “Going there is always memorable for me,” he related. “I love going there because Megan (Young, his longtime girlfriend and costar in the GMA 7 series, “The Stepdaughters”) is from there. So, I’ve also fallen in love with the place and its people.”

Asked to single out his dream vacations, Mikael shared with us, “I want go to New Zealand because I’ve been granted a visa I have yet to use. I heard it’s very beautiful there, and I want to go on a road trip to its southern part. Another place I can’t wait to explore is Hokkaido in Japan.” —RITO ASILO
