Masako Nozawa, the voice of Son Goku from the “Dragon Ball” anime series, believes there’s still more in store even as “Dragon Ball Super” wraps up after 131 episodes.

The 81-year-old Nozawa has been the voice of Goku since the character was a child when the first “Dragon Ball” animated series aired in 1986. It has been 32 years since then.

“I’m overcome with emotion after finishing the recording of the finale. Goku will forever be Goku. The anime television series is taking a break for now, but there’s a movie coming in December,” the voice actress said in a statement released by Toei Animation via SoraNews24.

She added, “I’m hoping the series will continue before Goku’s escapades fade from everyone’s mind. I think Goku’s training will carry on because the world of Dragon Ball will never end!”

Nozawa also voiced Goku for the numerous video game adaptations of the “Dragon Ball” franchise in the past 25 years. She started in 1993 for the Super Famicom game “Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden.”

For the veteran voice actress’ dedication in sticking with the much-loved Goku, Guinness World Records awarded her with a world record for “longest time voicing a character in Video Games” on Jan. 31, 2017, at a special ceremony in Tokyo.  Alfred Bayle /ra
