LOOK: Magalona clan remembers dad Francis on his death anniversary
Nine years after his death, the family of master rapper Francis Magalona made sure that his memory is alive and his legacy lives on.
The Magalona clan got together on Tuesday to commemorate their patriarch’s death anniversary. They visited the musician’s burial site in Loyala Memorial Chapels in Marikina City, as seen in a photo uploaded by actress Maxene in her Instagram page.
Sharing this throwback photo of her as a baby being cradled by her papa, Maxene expressed that she misses him everyday, and proclaimed she was proud to be a “Daddy’s Girl.”
His other daughter Clara wished that he may continue to watch over his family. She then expressed her love and how much she misses him “more and more each day.”
Article continues after this advertisementMagalona’s widower, Pia, also remembered her late husband, paying tribute to him on her own Instagram page: “You left us with your music, but—as Father said at the mass last Sunday—you also left behind your greatest legacy, your family,” she said. “We love each other the way you taught us to, and you are always in our hearts.”
The “Master Rapper” lost his battle with leukemia on March 6, 2009, about seven months after he was first diagnosed with the disease. JB
