Aly Borromeo denies breaking up with KC Concepcion: ‘We have a good relationship’

Aly Borromeo cleared the air on speculations that he and KC Concepcion were no longer an item.
In an exclusive interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, he said, “We’re very close to each other, we’ve been like that ever since.”
“So, I guess, right now, we’re working on things outside our relationship in terms of business, more on getting to the next level, working on things, getting to the next level,” the 34-year-old footballer explained.
On plans of getting married, he only said, “Maybe soon. Maybe next year,” adding they hadn’t discussed the matter yet because they are still preoccupied with their respective projects.
The former Philippine national football team captain says he’s in “transition because I’ve just retired from football” and is currently working on a business.
Concepcion, 32, has delved into the jewelry business, and is set to launch a new collection this month.
He clarified, “But what is important is KC and I have a good relationship, and our communication is always very good.”
The professional athlete credits his girlfriend with opening him up to a world outside of football. “She made me explore the world, everything that’s out there beside football, everything outside the game. There’s more to life, she brought me into the next step.”
He also described his relationship with her family. “I have so much fun with them, and I always have laughter and joy with them. It’s so much fun! They’re so warm, that family.”
Borromeo gets along with her younger siblings, stating that he bonds with Concepcion’s sisters Frankie and Miel through art and brother Miguel through football.
Rumors circulated that there was trouble between the two when their social media accounts noticeably lacked updates on their relationship. Previously, the two shared photos together, though netizens wondered why their last posts as a couple were from a magazine feature in November 2017.
