Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds to screen concert film worldwide

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have announced they are readying a new concert film to be shown in cinemas worldwide for one night only on April 12.

Called “Distant Sky”, the show was recorded at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena last October, during a concert at which the band performed songs from 2016 album “Skeleton Tree” as well as classics from their catalog.

The show was among the Australian rock band’s first live shows in three years, part of a tour that began in Australia in January 2017 before heading across the U.S. and on to Europe.

FEATURED STORIES

Filmmaker David Barnard directed the concert film, which will be shown in hundreds of theaters around the world on April 12. Participating cinemas and ticket information can be found at distantskyfilm.com.

The band has a number of European shows lined up for the coming months, beginning on May 31 at the Primavera Festival in Barcelona and running through July. JB
