From Ivanka Trump to Baron Geisler: Celebrity New Year’s resolutions for 2018
A new year, a new you.
With 2017 nearing its close, some of the world’s and local showbiz’s most influential celebrities have listed down their New Year’s resolutions for 2018.
In this list, notable personalities expressed their wishes for things to be better in their lives. They talked about lifestyle changes, taking up new hobbies, and just being better versions of themselves. Others, however, set aside personal wishes and instead hoped for the betterment of their country.
Here are some celebrities who posted their plans for the year ahead:
1. Kim Kardashian
The “Keeping Up with The Kardashians” star and social media sensation wishes to “be on my phone less and be more in the moment,” she wrote on her blog as reported by E! Online.

2. Ivanka Trump
Trump, who juggles being a mother, a businesswoman and being a United States presidential daughter, surely has her hands full with all her duties.
With this, she chooses to “sleep more” this 2018, as stated in a tweet she posted on Wednesday, while sharing an article on why sleep deprivation can kill you.
3. Kenneth Cole
Famous American designer Kenneth Cole keeps himself busy with conceptualizing the latest fashion trends, but it seems that he has the habit of doing things late.
Cole posted this tweet, which he said is his first New Year’s resolution: to “eventually” stop procrastinating.
4. Josh Gad
Meanwhile, American actor-comedian Josh Gad’s New Year’s resolution has something to do with his countrymen’s resolutions.
The heartwarming voice of Olaf the snowman in the popular Disney flick “Frozen” took a political stance and urged people to make it their New Year’s resolution to register for the polls, for the U.S. Senate elections in 2018.
5. Miguel Tanfelix
In the local showbiz landscape, Kapuso heartthrob Miguel Tanfelix has five things on his list of resolutions.
In a Youtube video shared on the GMA Network page, the “Kambal, Karibal” star shared that he wishes to be happy, to spread love, to use the word “you” more instead of “I,” to jump when the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s eve for any chance that he may become taller, and to become a better version of himself.
6. Marvin Agustin
Tanfelix’s co-star Marvin Agustin had a lot to be thankful for in 2017, as he showed in his best nine Instagram photos.
The actor-entrepreneur said that his 2017 was “beautiful in different levels.” “I was challenged, [I] failed, [I] fought hard, learned a lot of hard lessons but [I] guess that made my year extraordinary,” he wrote on Sunday.
Agustin then added that he is now ready to welcome the New Year by being more adventurous, to fulfill his “mission,” and to have a great and happy life.
7. Baron Geisler
Wanting to change himself for the better after having a tough year, Baron Geisler said in an Instagram post on Friday that he bid adieu to his old self and is embracing the New Year with “hindi hangin at phone ang laging hawak. Dapat lumawak parang si [B]ioman.” (To not clutch on to air and my phone all the time. I should spread my horizons and be like Bioman.)
Not stopping there, Geisler also wants to avoid people who have “negavibes,” as shown in a post where he doodled over the faces of two people who asked to take a photo with him, but later said that he was “laos,” as he said in the comments section.
8. Kris Aquino
Last but not the least, the Queen of All Media also had her list of goals for the upcoming year.
While enjoying her cup of coffee and the view from her Hong Kong hotel, as seen in a photo she posted on Saturday, Aquino enumerated her plans on how to improve herself.
Among those listed was to learn photography; to walk regularly and consistently; to cook healthier meals; to continue helping the churches she supports; to set aside quiet time every day; and to have faith that by next year, she will be taking a photo of two cups of coffee instead of just one. Could she be hinting at plans to have a special someone by next year?
“Lastly, to continue living w/ #POSITIVITY, courage, and to spread laughter, inspiration, and #lovelovelove,” she closed her post on a lighthearted note.
