‘Born To Be Wild’ gets Anak TV Seal

GMA’s award-winning environmental and wildlife program “Born To Be Wild” caps off the year with an Anak TV seal.

Program host and the Kapuso network’s resident hunk veterinarian Dr. Ferds Recio posted a photo of the award on his Instagram account. He thanked Anak TV Awards on behalf of whole BTBW team.

Through the years, “Born To Be Wild,” which Recio hosts with with fellow resident Kapuso vet Dr. Nielsen Donato, has received numerous accolades for being a highly informative nature documentary show, featuring wildlife stories, rescues and conservation.

  • 2013 Best Educational Program Winner at the PMPC Star Awards for Television
  • 2013 Best Environment-Oriented Program at the Gandingan Isko’t Iska’s Broadcast Choice Awards

And just recently, Recio was named Sotero Laurel Media Personality of the Year at the recently concluded Laurel Wreath awards.

Celebrating its 10th year anniversary, “Born To Be Wild” jetted off to New Zealand and Mongolia to feature their wildlife and showcase their fantastic naturescape.
