Pharell Williams on maintaining his youthful look: ‘I exfoliate like a madman’
It seems that Pharell Williams has been around the music industry for so long, yet he still looks the same as he did when he first debuted in the early 1990s.
At 44 years old, the “Happy” singer could easily be mistaken for a much younger man—which has even become a meme on social media.
The multi-talented artist finally revealed the secret to his fountain of youth, in a recent interview with Dazed Magazine.
“I exfoliate like a madman,” he described his routine to the news outlet, as relayed by The Telegraph. “When you exfoliate and you drink a lot of water, that does good for you. To me, the key is just exfoliating, like a monster.”
Although his answer is rather pedestrian, Pharell emphasized that it takes a lot of work and discipline to perform the task daily.

“You have to take care of your skin,” he shared. “Years and years and years ago, Naomi Campbell pulled me aside and said, ‘Listen, this is what you have to do—you have to go to a dermatologist; you can’t keep using drugstore products.’ Well, you can, but with the store products you have to be really diligent.” Khristian Ibarrola/JB
