Pokemon mainstays Brock, Misty to return to ’Sun and Moon’ anime

After mainstays Brock and Misty were left out in the recent Pokemon reboot, the studio is finally doing right by its fans.

According to  Japanese magazine Telubi-kun as relayed by Game Spot, two of Ash Ketchum’s original best buds will return for two episodes in the “Sun and Moon” anime.

The mini-reunion will occur when Ash and Pikachu return to their roots in Kanto region and will even feature a classic battle.

Both gym leaders will even feature powerful new Pokemon on their teams, with Brock and Misty owning a Mega Steelix and a Mega Gyarados, respectively.

The nostalgic episodes will debut in Japan on Sept. 14 and 21, the report said. But since the English series is way behind its Japanese predecessor, it might be a while before Western audiences can watch the sought-after reunion. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
