The Gils are alive … with the sound of music! Actually, these gifted performers are the Eigenmanns, and they gathered for a rare photo shoot for the tribute-concert in honor of the clan’s patriarch, singer Eddie Mesa, known as the Elvis Presley of the Philippines.

Titled “Sing Us Your Song Again: The Music and Legacy of Eddie Mesa,” the concert is set on Sept. 23, 8 p.m., at the Meralco Theater.

It topbills the Eigenmanns: Michael de Mesa, Ryan, Geoff, Max, Gabby and Andi Eigenmann, Sid Lucero and Cherie Gil.

The show is produced by MyOwnMann Productions, Inc.

“The acronym of the company is MOM,” Cherie explains. “Our mother, Rose Marie, raised me and my brothers Michael and Mark. I felt it would be the perfect ode to all the Eigenmann women in this generation and for those who would follow. Obviously, our family hasn’t stopped propagating, and I am excited to witness what they will be up to next.”

Back to the pictorial. It took a lot of effort to gather the Eigenmanns for one shoot.

“It was hard because of the schedules,” Michael relates. “My son Ryan was not able to attend.”

Also sorely missed is Cherie and Michael’s brother, acclaimed actor Mark Gil, who passed away three years ago.
