WATCH: Kristian Nairn re-creates iconic GoT ‘Hodor scene’ for fast-food ad
HBO’s critically acclaimed “Game of Thrones” series is no doubt filled with emotional and gut-wrenching scenes. But perhaps its most iconic one involves the death of Hodor (played by Kristian Nairn).
With the scene in particular gaining legendary status in popular culture, UK and Ireland branches of fast-food giant KFC decided to re-create the moment to promote their latest food pairing.
As seen in the comical “Lunchtime is coming” clip, the towering DJ/actor plays a typical fast-food attendant during a busy lunchtime.
Customers come in at a blistering pace and begin ordering “chicken and fries.”
Unable to keep up with the deluge of customers, Nairn begins mixing up their orders and eventually mutters “chicken and rice” instead of “chicken and fries”—reminiscent of his rambling GoT character before his demise.
