Netflix: Users streamed 500M hours of Adam Sandler films
Amid negative reviews for his 2015 film “The Ridiculous 6,” actor-comedian Adam Sandler remains a huge name among Netflix users.
According to Netflix’s Q1 Earnings Report released on Tuesday, users binged on Sandler’s past films, using up a total of 500 million hours. “Since the launch of ‘The Ridiculous 6,’ Netflix members have spent more than half a billion hours enjoying the films of Adam Sandler,” the report read.
This should be the reason why the online streaming service has clinched another deal with Sandler last month to produce four more films for a total of eight original films. “Just ahead of the release of our third film from Adam Sandler, ‘Sandy Wexler,’ we announced the renewal of our deal with Sandler to premiere an additional four films exclusively on Netflix around the world,” Netflix said. “We continue to be excited by our Sandler relationship and our members continue to be thrilled with his films.”
