LOOK: Sandara Park is ‘PH friendship ambassador’

Sandara Park is the newest “Philippine Friendship Ambassador.”

The K-pop star and “Pambansang Krung-Krung” pledged to be a symbol of Philippine-Korean relations as she attended the Philippine Women’s Month celebration in South Korea recently.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation for having me at the Philippines women’s month celebration. It truly was my honor to be here with everyone and be inspired,” she captioned her Instagram post on Wednesday, coupled with the hashtag #PhilippinesFriendshipAmbassador.

Park entered Philippine show biz when she was crowned runner-up in the ABS-CBN talent search “Star Circle Quest” back in 2004. After several stints in local films and TV series, she returned to Korea and joined the now-defunct pop group 2NE1.

She also sat as one of the judges of the reality show “Pinoy Boyband Superstar” with Yeng Constantino, Aga Muhlach and Vice Ganda. Moreover, Park returns to the big screen with the forthcoming Korean movie “One Step,” which will be shown in Philippine cinemas this May.

During an episode of the Korean show “Battle Trip,” Park defended the Philippines from people’s doubts and introduced Koreans to the exquisite beauty of Palawan and Bohol’s beaches.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
