Rock and roll legend Elton John was the recipient of plentiful tributes at his 70th birthday party, with Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder combining for a duet at the do.
Held on March 25, 2017, in Los Angeles, the Elton John birthday celebrations included a number of originals and song covers performed by notable singers and songwriters.
Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder played Wonder’s 1981 single “Happy Birthday”, with Gaga also performing her own “Bad Romance” and “Born This Way” for the assembled guests, Billboard reports.
Ryan Adams played a cover of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” and Rosanne Cash was also named by the publication.
John, born Reginald Dwight in 1947, has 30 studio albums and nearly 60 albums total to his name, receiving five Grammys and an Academy Award over the course of his outstanding songwriting career. JB
