Just in time for the much-awaited 89th Academy awards, a special Oscar’s edition of the popular ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets’ segment appeared on Sunday (Monday in Manila).

Past and present winners—including the likes of Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain, Jeff Bridges, Natalie Portman, Eddie Redmayne and many more, hilariously read the meanest tweets about themselves coming from numerous trolls of the internet.

The clip started off on a somehow mild jest on Portman’s seemingly petite build.

“Feel like if you went to lunch with Natalie Portman she would only order a hot tea with lemon and maybe some toast. Definitely not an entree though,” the actress read aloud, before revealing her pregnant belly to the camera.

The insults, however, started getting some steam after one tweet directed to Gosling appeared to compliment him at first before veering into a wicked burn.

“Oh, look at me…I’m Ryan Gosling, I have perfect bone structure and kind eyes,” he read. “Go f-ck yourself Ryan Gosling.”

One Twitter user wrote: “Samuel L. Jackson has a resting fart face,” while another one likened Goldberg’s trademark dreadlocks to a man’s armpit hair.

“LaLa Land” actress Stone, who also appeared in previous segments, also received quite the zinger: “Emma Stone looks like a crack whore in every role she plays.”

“Fantastic Beasts” lead, Redmayne, arguably received the most grotesque messages of all. “Dear Eddie Redmayne, I hate your stinking guts, you make me vomit, you’re the scum between my toes. Love, Zhenya.” JB
