At the Tokyo fest, Paolo Ballesteros accepted his best actor trophy for “Die Beautiful” in full drag, as Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts. He confessed that being Julia was no walk in the park. “It’s hard. My feet hurt. I arrived in Japan at midnight and had to wake up at 7 a.m. to do my makeup, which took up to four hours.” He said he’s “happy and honored” to win his first acting award in an A-list festival. “Of course, I’m content with best actor, but it would’ve been unusual if I’d gotten best actress!”—BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
