Last of Cartoon Network’s ‘Adventure Time’ in 2018
In 2018 children and “children-at-heart” will witness the last adventure of “Adventure Time.”
Cartoon Network announced that Pendleton Ward’s prized cartoon series, which spawned for eight straight years, will air its ninth and final season in 2018.
In a report by Los Angeles Times, Adventure Time’s final season will encompass 142 hours of special episodes, mini-series, and heartwarming story plots, which viewers must see with their own eyes. ““Cartoon Network Studios is proud to have brought together this group of brilliant artists and animators who helped make Adventure Time one of the most critically acclaimed TV series of a generation,” Robert Sorcher, chief content officer for Cartoon Network, said in a statement.
The show reaped six Emmy awards, two Annie awards, a Peabody award, and two British Academy Children’s Awards trophies. Adding to these achievements, it managed to get celebrity guests including Andy Samberg, Matthew Broderick, Laura Silverman, George Takei, Rainn Wilson, and “How I Met Your Mother” actor Neil Patrick Harris.
Due to its grandstanding success among adults and kids, Adventure Time became the catchy designs of apparel lines, toys, plushies, comic books and several video games across the world. The series narrates the whimsical journeys of Finn, a 14-year-old boy, and Jake, his best friend and pet dog, in the fictional Land of Ooo. They intersect paths with other characters like Princess Bubblegum of the Candy Kingdom, the Ice King and Marceline the Vampire Queen, a fan of rock. Gianna Francesca Catolico
