Drake’s album ‘Views’ hits 1B streams on Apple Music
Just like Adele, Drake’s new album skyrocketed a milestone in the American music industry.
His newest album, “Views,” broke a global record with 1 billion plays on Apple Music. In a report by Engadget, the album was released on April 29 and was previewed first on the music-streaming service.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, together with iTunes head Eddy Cue and Apple Music’s content head Larry Jackson, bestowed Drake with an honorary plaque during his night concert in San Jose, California, USA, on Sunday. The rapper posted a pic of his milestone on Instagram.

Moreover, Drake released a 23-minute film entitled “Please Forgive Me,” which was inspired by his album’s soundtracks.

In a related news, rapper Lil’ Wayne slammed Drake for allegedly betraying his trust. In Wayne’s upcoming autobiography “Gone ‘Til November,” he confessed during his incarceration for gun possession in 2010 that his then girlfriend, Tammy Torres, cheated on him for Drake, People reported. Drake is currently rumored to have a relationship with fellow artist Rihanna.
