Marlyn Lopez, OFW: “A recent feature in ‘Asap’s’ ‘Birit Queens’ segment featured Morissette Amon, Klarisse de Guzman, Jona and Angeline Quinto singing their hearts and lungs out as they performed covers of rock ballads. They were outstanding—no false notes and great harmonies.

“While I appreciate Jona’s effortless vocal styling, which is still pleasing to the ears even in her highest notes, she has to work on proper enunciation and diction. She sang the Beatles’ ‘Help’ and mispronounced ‘need’ (ned) and ‘independence’ (independents), among others. Also, whoever is in charge of the lyrics flashed onscreen should make sure that they’re correct.”

Jose Mari Maycacayan, marketing consultant: “‘Sakto,’ hosted by Amy Perez and Marc Logan on AM radio,  tackles relevant and practical issues.  The hosts are witty and direct to the point, and their resource persons are helpful.”

Lhen Caparas Chua: “I’m a new-generation fan of Nora Aunor. I wasn’t able to see her at the peak of her popularity in the ’70s and ’80s, but with the help of YouTube, Google, clippings and testimonies from Noranian friends, I have realized how great an artist she is!”

Martin Riparip, student: “Jodi Sta. Maria may not be that lucky in matters of the heart, but at least she still has something to be happy about—her show biz career is on the upswing! Her rom-com with her popular screen partners, Richard Yap and Ian Veneracion, is reportedly doing well at the box office. She deserves more film and TV projects.”
