Classical crossover all-boy choir returns to Manila
LIBERA, the classical crossover all-boy choir from London, will hold a concert at the PICC Plenary Hall on Feb. 16, and at the SM Seaside City’s Centerstage in Cebu on Feb. 18, in support of the vocal group’s latest album, “Angel Sings: Libera in America.”
It will be the group’s fourth visit to the country.
Composed of some 40 singers, ages 7 to 16, Libera sings mostly uplifting liturgical compositions, but is also expected to take on more popular classics like “What a Wonderful World,” “Amazing Grace” and “The Prayer.”
The concerts, presented by Concertus Manila, will be part of the coming Philippine-UK friendship celebrations. Part of the shows’ proceeds will go to various charities: Caritas Manila, Children’s Hour and Foundation for Disadvantaged Children, STC-Cebu Foundation and Arts Council of Cebu Foundation.
