Christopher Nolan set to direct historical drama ‘Dunkirk’

Christopher Nolan, known for his sci-fi and action films, is set to direct “Dunkirk,” a historical drama set in World War II.

In a statement by Warner Bros., the movie set during the evacuation of more than 300,000 British troops in Dunkirk, France, will begin shooting in May using many of the real locations of the true to life events.

Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy are currently in talks to join the
ensemble. The lead cast are yet unknown as of posting time.

Nolan will direct the film based on his original screenplay, which he will also produce with his wife Emma Thomas.
