‘Bambanti’ wins in two fests

Zig Dulay’s “Bambanti” won in two international film festivals recently. The Sinag Maynila entry won best film at the Festival International du Film de Brussels on Nov. 22. Its lead star, Micko Laurente, won the Golden Elephant trophy for best actor in the Asian Panorama section of the 19th International Children’s Film Festival in Hyderabad, India, on Nov. 20.
