Maine Mendoza in awe of ‘billboard dream’ come true

A sentimental Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza took to Instagram to share her dream-turned-reality of being featured in a billboard.

Mendoza, who posted a photo of her Coca-Cola billboard on Edsa with actor Alden Richards, said she never expected that she would see herself on advertisements along the metropolis’ major thoroughfares.

“I still remember saying ‘Sana talaga magkaron din ako ng billboard ko someday!’ as a kid. Passing by tons of billboards along the expressway, I used to rest my head on the car window while gaping at those gracefully photographed celebrities/models,” Mendoza said.

“Back then, I knew that it will NEVER EVER come to reality. (Papa’no naman kasi diba?) Until all of these happened.. nobody knew that my “fantasies” would come true. Nobody thought it was possible,” she added.

Mendoza said she even asked her driver to stop along Edsa so she could take a photo of the billboard and stare at it for a few seconds.

“I couldn’t help but ask my driver to stop in front of this Coca-Cola billboard so I could take a photo of it, but before that, I took a couple of seconds to just stare at it… then I found myself whispering… ‘Eto na…eto na s’ya,” she said.

Mendoza, half of the phenomenal “AlDub” love team in Eat Bulaga’s hit “Kalyeserye” segment, rose to fame following her viral Dubsmash videos online. YG
