Miss World beauties share photos of Rolene Strauss’ PGH visit
MANILA, Philippines—Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss led the inauguration of a new ward at Philippine General Hospital (PGH) as part of the pageant’s Beauty with a Purpose campaign on Wednesday.
Accompanied by Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann and Miss World chair Julia Morley, the South African beauty led the ribbon-cutting for the hospital’s pediatric hematology-oncology ward.
The three beauties had shared on their respective Instagram accounts updates during Strauss’ visit.
In an interview with GMA News, Strauss said she looked forward to the campaign as she wanted to focus on its health projects.
“I’m really looking forward to that for health is my main passion and I’m really privileged for the opportunity to be able to do what I’m passionate about,” Strauss said in the report.
Strauss is scheduled to leave for Sri Lanka on Friday to continue her charity activities for Miss World. RC
