Nuvali ‘Night Sky Cinema’ happens on Dec. 27
MANILA, Philippines—Experience a unique pre-New Year treat on December 27, Saturday, as holiday-themed movies will be shown at The Fields, in Nuvali, Santa Rosa, Laguna. Dubbed “Night Sky Cinema,” the event features three wholesome motion pictures that the entire family will enjoy.
The first is “Home Alone,” the beloved comedy about eight-year old Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left behind in their suburban home in Chicago as the rest of his family flies to France for vacation.
The boy ends up not only fending for himself but also warding off two not-so smart burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern). “Home Alone” was a huge hit when it was released in 1990 and remains as one of the highest-grossing comedies of all time. It also established Macaulay as big child star of the 1990s.
The second movie to be shown at Nuvali’s “Night Sky Cinema” is “Rise of the Guardians,” a CG-animated feature from the prestigious DreamWorks company. “Rise of the Guardians” tells the quest of the immortal Guardians who battle the evil spirit Pitch to protect the hopes and dreams of all children.
This movie, which first graced the big screens in 2012, features the voices of Hollywood A-listers Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher, Jude Law and Hugh Jackman.
