Wattpad is an Internet site that started in 2006, where anybody can publish his written work and be read by a community of users around the world. Next to the United States, the Philippines is Wattpad’s second largest market. Stories from the website that had been adapted to the big screen include “Diary Ng Panget,” “She’s Dating The Gangster” and “Talk Back and You’re Dead.”

Some of the website’s most popular stories are being featured in the miniseries, “Wattpad Presents,” on TV5’s primetime block. Sam Concepcion and Jasmine Curtis-Smith teamed up for the first time in the series’ initial offering, Maevelanne’s “My Tag Boyfriend,” about a Facebook addict who mistakenly tagged campus heartthrob Kaizer Buenavista in one of her posts.

For its second instalment, “Mr. Popular Meets Ms Nobody,” Mark Neumann portrayed the perfect guy who fell for an ordinary girl, played by Shaira Mae de la Cruz. Then, Akihiro Blanco and Chanel Morales tackled how it is to love beyond pretenses in “Poser.”

Finally, the series presents Soyu’s modern fairy tale, “Almost a Cinderella Story,” starring Carl Guevarra and Eula Caballero.
