Kuh Ledesma topbills free concert series
MANILA, Philippines—Kuh Ledesma, one of the country’s legendary music icons, will be staging a free concert series in all Casino Filipino (CF) branches in Luzon and Metro Manila this March.
Bong Quintana, Pagcor assistant VP for entertainment, expressed his excitement on Ledesma’s upcoming shows. “We are very happy that we will be able to offer our casino patrons and guests a spectacular concert series topbilled by no less than Ms. Kuh Ledesma. She is no doubt one of the Philippines’ pride, an international and a multi-talented artist,” he said.
Ledesma’s concert tour will kick-off in CF-Olongapo on March 1. The country’s Pop Diva is also set to perform in casino branches in Parañaque (March 7), Tagaytay (March 8), Pavilion (March 14) and Angeles (March 15) as part of Casino Filipino’s “March to Summer” entertainment offerings.
A certified crowd-drawer, Ledesma was among the few Filipino performers who easily filled up big concert venues like the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Araneta Coliseum, Philippine International Convention Center, and Folk Arts Theater in the 80’s. The Philippine music legend has been in the industry for 35 years and has successfully performed in more than 1,000 concerts and has completed 20 local albums. She was hailed as the first-ever Filipino artist to receive the Salem Music Awards in March 1989.
Aside from her remarkable concerts in the country, Ledesma has also held series of back-to-back shows with international artists such as Noel Pointer, Jack Jones, Kenny Rankin, The Platters, and Michel Legrand.

It’s also clearer to me now that the people I meet along the way are never by coincidence so I make sure I share some of my blessed experiences with them,” Ledesma cited.
From her humble beginnings as a band member of Lastiko (formerly Ensalada Band in Bacolod) during her college years, she and her band mates went to Manila to try their luck. They became famous as the Music and Magic Band until Ledesma went solo and launched her first hit song “Dito Ba.”
“The most valuable lesson I learned from my experiences (in the past 35 years) was to never give up on a dream and always do your best,” shared Ledesma.
Ledesma also commended Pagcor’s support to local artists and the agency’s commitment to national development initiatives. “Thank you for your unwavering support to the Filipino artists. It definitely encourages our singers especially the young ones to pursue their passion for performing. These artists are given venues to showcase their talents. Also, thank you for the support you give to our public schools and health centers,” she said.
Apart from Ledesma’s concert tour, Casino Filipino will also feature some of the country’s top caliber performers like Isay Alvarez, Robert Seña and Jenine Desiderio for its ‘March to Summer’ entertainment offerings.
