MANILA, Philippines— Due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, the staging of the musical “Dirty Dancing” scheduled in July this year at the Cultural Center of the Philippines will no longer push through, the producers announced Thursday.

“Lunchbox Theatrical Productions would like to thank all the ticket buyers and sponsors for supporting ‘Dirty Dancing’. Ticket buyers are entitled to a full refund by calling TicketWorld at (632) 891-9999 or emailing [email protected],” the official statement said.

“Ticket buyers will also be provided an option to convert their tickets to our next production,” added the statement sent to BroadwayWorld.

“Dirty Dancing” the musical is based on the cult movie of the same title in the 1980s, which starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

It has a string of hit songs like “Hungry Eyes,” “Hey Baby,” “Do You Love Me,” and “(I’ve Had) the Time of My Life.”
