KIM CHIU’S wrath ignored by ex-friend

Popular actor must really grapple now with all sorts of unsavory rumors.

PA purportedly worked in a gay bar in his youth. Online reports insist that his coarse behavior can be traced to this checkered past.

Perhaps the rumormongers are confusing PA with a contemporary, similarly Gifted Hunk, who has no qualms about being a boy-for-hire, then as now.

FEATURED STORIES

PA and GH started in the biz at the same time and often worked in the same projects. But PA went on to achieve considerable success, while GH languishes in painful anonymity.

Secret marriage

JULIE Anne San Jose makes waves in Asian countries.

Workers in Handsome Hunk’s home studio swear the guy has a deep, dark secret.

A mole chanced upon HH’s travel documents and saw that the guy was married! Another spy said it was a marriage of convenience, so that HH could work abroad. The question, then, is, has HH severed ties with Former Wife, whose family took him in and gave him a job in that foreign land?

Camera shy

Airline insider wanted to meet Sexy Starlet. Pulling strings, the guy managed to book a seat in the same row as SS.

In no mood for in-flight socializing, SS asked Production Assistant to sit between her and the fan. But when PA went to the restroom, admirer readied his camera for a snapshot.

Sensing this, SS threw a shawl over herself and feigned sweet slumber.

Abusive family

BAMBOO thinks the time is right to mentor budding singers.

Popular Star has always been generous to less prosperous kin and is known to help cash-strapped loved ones whenever possible.

Some relatives, however, pushed their luck and kept asking for more. The freeloaders, in fact, had the temerity to question the share of someone close to PS’ heart.

Tale of two actors

Observers wonder how Talented Actor 1 crossed over to popularity while Talented Actor 2 failed big time. (Back in the day, the two were rivals.)

A few others are not surprised. TA1 is a consummate professional; TA2 is the exact opposite. TA2 is said to be hooked on booze and drugs, and is often tardy on the set.

Well, that could be because TA2 refused to play “the game,” shunning the advances of Influential Insiders. TA1 was only too willing to oblige.

Bamboo in ‘The Voice’

KC CONCEPCION stumbles on an ex-flame’s secret (yet again).

ABS-CBN announced on Thursday that Pinoy rock superstar Bamboo is taking one of the four swivel chairs as coach in (the network’s franchise of the US singing competition) “The Voice of the Philippines,” joining Sarah Geronimo.

“I am very much ready to coach,” he said. “There is a time for everything; I believe this is my time.”

Asked what kind of artists he would like to coach, Bamboo replied: “I’ve been listening to rock for a long time, but also to other genres, including pop and folk. I would like to [mentor] someone open to all kinds of music, and who is willing to listen and learn.”

Participants should have Filipino ancestry and be at least 16 years old by June 2013. No minus one, background tracks or musical instruments may be used in the audition video. Log on now to www.thevoice.abs-cbn.com for tryout schedules across the country, starting Feb. 23 in Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo and Tacloban.

Top of Bandera

JERICHO Rosales loses a soap.

The top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid Bandera (and why we are moved, if we are moved.)

Can’t leave this sentence unfinished.)

(The best kind of rest, even for the rich and famous.)

(Next up: Angeline!)

(Cricket sounds here.)

(Somehow, we can’t wrap our brain around that scenario.)

(Harsh.)

Cesar: ’Di ko wawasakin ang pamilya ko! (Promise?)

Julie Anne San Jose mabentang-mabenta sa Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand at Malaysia. (She didn’t need Elmo all along, huh?)

Amy Perez parang ’di nanganak, seksi pa rin. (There are many sexy moms!)

(May himala.)

(Don’t worry about us.)

(That’s not what we heard.)

(All is fair.)

(That was the reason?)

Show nina Pacman at Jean tsugi agad? (That’s entertainment.)

(But how would he preach?)

Gretchen magiging “nanay” ni Coco Martin. (Mutual consent?)

(Let her be—either one of them.)

(Define “private.”)
