If you are concerned about the quality of programs for your children on TV, do support the laudable goals of AnakTV by joining its Family Fun Walk at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Jan. 27, at the UP Diliman grounds.
AnakTV is always strapped for cash to do full justice to its important advocacy, so your help is urgently needed. Don’t just talk about helping the cause of child-friendly TV on local screens—walk the talk by joining AnakTV’s “fun fundraiser” with your entire family tomorrow!
We’ve been supporting AnakTV ever since its inception, and know that it has many worthy initiatives, the full implementation of which is hindered only by its perennial lack of funds. Why, some of its officers even dig deep into their own pockets just to keep some key projects going!
That’s how dedicated they are, but it really is terribly unfair, because AnakTV benefits the nation’s entire viewing populace, especially our impressionable and vulnerable children, so we must all stand up and be counted!
The heartening news is that many people are pitching in to make tomorrow’s AnakTV’s fun run for funds a success: During the program, messages from H.E. Cardinal Tagle and MTRCB chair Eugenio Villareal will be read.
There will be promotions and sale of branded merchandise from major networks. TV5 will brighten the sky with its blimp. Medical emergency and rescue teams will be provided by UNTV.
Presence
There will be a sports-oriented showcase by IBC with AkTV, with the likely presence of PBA stars, Azkals and Volcanoes. Knowledge Channel will put up an educational showcase, plus games.
Stars from the TV networks are participating to show their solidarity with AnakTV and its key advocacies to benefit child viewers. Peta will do a photo and signature campaign to free Mali, the elephant. In addition, there will be cooking demos and games.
Prior to Sunday’s big event, TV endorsements and plugs have been airing, featuring Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski, Kim Atienza, Mike Enriquez, Boots Anson Roa, Vhong Navarro, Boy Abunda, Anne Curtis, Cheryl Cosim, Arnold Clavio, Cherie Mercado, Noli de Castro, Jessica Soho and others.
Lakad cards will be given out, and walkers are asked to have their “passports” stamped at each TV station’s booth. Prizes await Lakad card holders who are able to collect all stamps.
More: Round-trip tickets to the US and Hong Kong will be auctioned off by Cathay Pacific and Dragon Air. And, walkers who come with the funniest, funkiest hat will get prizes from Columbia food products, Calla and other supporters of AnakTV.
—What are we waiting for? Let’s walk the talk for AnakTV! (Preregister at any Silverworks outlet in major malls in Metro Manila—only P300 for individuals, P500 for a family of four).
If you can’t make it to the fun walk, please make a donation to AnakTV. Its advocacies are important for all of us!
