When Christopher de Leon learned that Dina Bonnevie and Ricky Davao were in the cast of the movie, “Flames of Love,” he no longer bothered to ask what his role would be, because Dina and Ricky were part of his fond memories of “American Adobo.” The new project reunites the trio.
The actor has been directed by four National Artists—Eddie Romero, Lino Brocka, Ishmael Bernal and Gerry de Leon. Another reason why Boyet accepted the project is its theme—spirituality—which is rarely tackled in local films.
The movie follows four families and the problems they face. Also in the cast are Lani Mercado, Jaclyn Jose, Megan Young and Valerie Concepcion.
