Taylor Swift says she’ll keep on making music even after marriage

Taylor Swift has been quick to dispel rumors that she will stop making music after tying the knot with her fiancé Travis Kelce, saying it is “shockingly offensive” to say that she’s leaving the industry for good.
When asked to clarify the issue in a BBC Radio 2 interview on Monday, Oct. 6, Swift said that “Life of a Showgirl” won’t be her final album and that she will keep on making music.
“What? No!” she said immediately, which led to the host Scott Mills saying that there were “some fans” panicking about the possibility that her latest album would be her “last,” as the singer-songwriter is set to “get married and have children.”
“That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say… that’s not why some people get married — so they can quit their job,” said Swift. “[The fans] love to panic sometimes, but I love the person that I am with because [Travis] loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music.”
Swift then described Kelce as a supportive partner who inspires her to be passionate about her craft as well.
“That’s the coolest thing about Travis. He’s so passionate about what he does. [I’m] passionate about what I do. It connects us.”
The singer-songwriter also shared that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end never made her feel that he was “really upset” about her success.
“There is no point in time where he’s like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making music. I signed up for [our relationship] because I knew [what] you love…’ It’s nice when those things are not incongruous,” she said.
The singer-songwriter recently dropped her 12th studio album “Life of a Showgirl,” which covers reflections about her life in the limelight and other related topics. It also features a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement last August, but wedding plans are yet to be divulged. /ra
